The Qi Rising® Method is a highly personalised, detail-oriented approach to TCM. We thoroughly investigate your problems, seeking to address the root cause(s) of imbalance, in order to promote profound and lasting changes. We work with a variety of techniques including acupuncture, moxibustion, breathwork, auriculotherapy, nutrition coaching, energy healing, and hypnotherapy, among others.
It’s difficult to say, as each person is unique. We will put together a treatment plan during your intake appointment. A good rule of thumb: the longer you’ve had symptoms, the longer treatment usually takes. The exception is pain, where we expect to see a swift reduction in noticeable pain, while the underlying cause takes longer to rebalance.
Wear loose clothing. Avoid cleaning your tongue for 24 hours prior to your appointment. If possible, avoid smoking and caffeine for at least 4 hours prior. Eat a light meal at least 1 hour before your appointment, and please complete the intake form sent to you.
TCM has successfully been used for centuries to treat a wide variety of conditions. We’re able to help with concerns such as ME/CFS & Long Covid (a specific focus of ours), recurring headaches, migraine, treatment-resistant back pain, allergies, dysautonomia, unexplained pain, acne, and quitting smoking.
We will always seek to find the root cause of any symptoms you experience, but we understand that pain can be debilitating. If you experience chronic pain, we can utilise a unique combination of QRNow® and scalp acupuncture. QRNow® isn’t its own separate appointment; it’s included within your standard appointment whenever it’s the right fit.
We believe we are the first TCM practice in the Netherlands to offer remote consultations. Online consultations are available Monday to Friday, while in-person appointments run Thursday and Friday. Google Meet is used for remote sessions; you’ll receive a link via email. We ask that you visit the practice in person for more complex problems.
Sadly, no. We don’t work with Dutch health insurers. Our consultations are detailed and go on for much longer than those within the Dutch health insurance system. Some international insurers may cover (part of) the costs, and your employer may also help. You will always receive an invoice after your appointment.
The working language of the practice is English. We occasionally refer to some TCM terms in their original Chinese e.g. Qi (vital energy), but always provide translations.
Adults and children have different medical needs, which require different approaches. We work exclusively with adults.
